The world of cloud computing is relatively new in realm of technology.  While the actual inception date of cloud computing is debatable, it seems like “the cloud” has become a popular technological buzzword in just the last couple of years.  As with any new trend in technology, it can be challenging to keep up with all of the related developments, resources, vocabulary, and acronyms.  Whether you are just beginning to explore cloud computing or you are a seasoned technology professional, one great way to stay on top of the latest news surrounding a particular topic is by following relevant Twitter feeds.  Today, we are going to share some great Twitter feeds that will keep you informed on all things cloud related.

CloudTweaks is the self proclaimed “Cloud Computing Authority” and offers links to many informative articles on various cloud related topics.  While most of the tweets in this feed are links to articles on the www.cloudtweaks.com website, they are worth following because the articles are useful, well written, and generally not filled with a lot of hard to understand technical jargon.

MulticloudFeed describes itself on Twitter as offering “up to date news which focus[es] on private clouds, public cloud and hybrid clouds.”  Follow this Twitter feed if you want to keep up with news and announcements from a large variety of cloud computing companies, cloud vendors, and other cloud related information.

It seems like Amazon is eventually mentioned in any conversation involving cloud computing.  If you would like to follow the news and ideas from the Senior Manager for Cloud Computing Solutions at Amazon.com, @jeffbarr is the feed for you.

The Cloud Computing News Twitter feed is exactly what you would expect: a Twitter feed chocked full of news articles on various cloud computing topics.  This is a great feed for anyone who wishes to keep up with a wide variety of cloud computing news and information.

The Business Cloud News Twitter feed description reads, “Keep up-to-date with the latest news on Cloud Computing, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Virtualization, Content Delivery Networks and Unified Communications around the globe.”  This is another great source for articles on a varied selection of cloud computing topics.  One nice thing about this feed is that it is active but @BizCloudNews won’t inundate your Twitter feed with a ton of posts.

If you want to make sure you are not missing any news stories related to cloud computing, follow the Cloud and SaaS News Twitter feed @cloudysaas.  This Twitter account “combines and aggregates the mass of Cloud and 'Software as a Service' information on the Web”.  You may get duplicate information if you follow this feed along with some of the others mentioned here, but this is a great feed for someone who wants to see as much information as possible in one place.

@TheVestedGroup
