Arriving Soon: NetSuite's eCommerce, OneWorld, and SuiteCloud Updates

At the end of this week, NetSuite will be rolling out Version 2014, Release 1 and we have been sharing some of the exciting updates that are in store here on our blog over the past few weeks.  If you want to see how the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) modules are shaping up, click on the links above to view our previous articles. Today we are wrapping up our series on NetSuite’s new release features with an overview of what’s new with the eCommerce module.

Item-Specific Shipping

With NetSuite Version 2014 Release 1, your customers can apply a special shipping coupon on their orders that allow you to ship a particular item for free, together with other items in the same order that have a shipping cost. For example, you are able to offer free shipping on one item (Item Z) when a customer has purchased altogether three items X, Y, and Z. You can also configure multiple items to ship for free, together with other items in the same order using the same coupon. This feature allows shipping and merchandising managers to define shipping rules per item, gaining new flexibility to run custom promotions.

New Promotion Assistant

Starting with NetSuite Version 2014 Release 1, marketers, merchandisers and shop administrators can increase productivity by using the new Promotion Assistant feature to easily create and manage promotions. The new Promotion Assistant allows users to define and manage various types of advanced and standard promotions rules using a step-by-step assistant. This guided approach of setting up and managing promotions can increase productivity and ease the learning curve for new employees.
